Dr. Seymour Papert
(born March_1, 1928 Pretoria,_South_Africa) is an MIT mathematician. He is one of the pioneers of Artificial_Intelligence. Inventor of the Logo_programming_language (1968). Proponent of the Knowledge_Machine Influenced by Jean_Piaget. Has an interesting and original vision on learning, build upon the work of Jean_Piaget. (Constructionism) Rethings how schools should work based on these theories of learning. Also focuses on the impact of new technologies on learning in general and schools as a learning organisation in particular. Had some influence on Alan_Kay and the Dynabook concept. Collaborated with Lego to devise the Logo programmed series of Lego_Mindstorms sets. Short biography:
